When Certified Wedding Planner and Event Producer, Michelle Ferrer founded Smitten Co., she had a specific goal in mind: To create a solution for brides who just needed a bit of personal help planning their own weddings and wouldn’t mind getting a little pampered along the way.
The idea for Smitten Co. came about when she started to wonder about all those brides who wanted to plan their own weddings, but couldn’t (or didn’t want to) pay thousands of dollars for a wedding planner. What were they to do? Online tools could only take you so far and what you really needed as a bride was actual support and help from a professional who could provide you with advice. While recommendations from family and friends are well-intentioned, they just aren’t tailored to the likes and budget of the couple.
Smitten Co. aims to connect preferred local vendors with brides in an organic way. All listings, articles, and resources are South Florida-based. It’s so amazing to see on blogs and Pinterest what other brides are doing around the country, but if you don’t know where to have something done locally, what’s the point? Smitten Co. is the perfect resource for preferred local vendors to help educate brides on their services, their mission, and what’s new in their business to assist brides in making the right decisions for their big day.
Prior to founding Smitten Co., Michelle worked for over a decade as an Event Producer on hundreds of events both throughout the United States and abroad with budgets ranging from $5,000 to over a million as well as a Certified Wedding Planner for couples with budgets ranging from $10,000 to over $150,000. For her, no budget and no detail has ever been too small.
